No Wednesday Service

Just a reminder that there is no MSG (Middle School Group) this Wednesday.

There is Walk-In Communion Service for all families at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and we'll see you on Sunday for our regular service.

She's ONE?

What in the world? Am I really a parent of a one year old. Wow, Chloe makes me feel old, just imagine what I'll feel like when she turns 18?

A year ago, I unexpectedly went into labor at 35 weeks and Chloe was born. Since she was early, she spent 12 days in the NICU. At the time it felt like 12,000 days. It was an experience that I never want to go through again, but it was an amazing one.

Seeing pictures of Chloe in the NICU bring back some many memories and emotions. I can't believe how small she was and now how big she is.

The C-PAP is helping her lungs to fully expand and get enough oxygen.

Once Chloe's lungs were more strong she was able to move off the C-PAP and onto the nasal prongs. The nasal prongs were much more comfortable for her.

Having your child in the NICU really wears you down. I was so tired from staying up, but never wanted to leave her side.

Chloe at 11 Months

I can't believe it. My baby is almost a year old. As I'm typing this I can picture my mom saying these same words about all her babies. Everyone says it goes so fast because it does. I remember when Chloe was just 2 months old. People would tell me to enjoy the time because it would go fast. I thought, it better because I want to sleep.

I miss those days, not the whole no sleep thing, but the newborn baby thing. I loved having my baby cuddle with me, sleep in my arms and the newborn smell. Ahhh, reminiscing to the good ole days.

I know that not everyone loves to look at pictures of Chloe as much as I do, but how could you not? She's just just so stinkin' adorable. I could eat her up. This is shot from our back yard, which will not be ours soon. We're downsizing to an apartment in a few weeks. I'm so sad that I won't have all this grass for Chloe, but it's a good move...and moving is a completely different post.

Flippy Floppies

The weather has been so crazy here in Eugene. On Thursday it rained, snowed, hailed and was sunny. I wasn't sure what to wear that day. Should I wear flip flops, snow boots, tennis shoes? I opted for the flip flops. Why? Because I'm an adult and can wear what I want. You may think I'm crazy, but I would wear flip flops all the time if my feet wouldn't freeze off. Every Oregonian wears flip flops in rainy weather. Ok, maybe not every one, but a lot of people do, so I'm not that crazy.

All this rainy weather makes me excited for the warm sun. I can't wait to get Chloe out of the house and go to the park, take walks and just enjoy the this lovely earth. So, here are few adorable pictures of Chloe and Cory from early March. We had unusual warm weather that day. You can see that Chloe is starting to improve on her walking skills. We're so proud of her.

By the way, Chloe's clothes are off because she had a huge explosion. Shall I explain further?

Warm Winter Sun

The last few days have been so beautiful here. I had to take advantage of the light and take some pictures of Chloe. Chloe loved being outside, touching the grass (Surprisingly. she didn't eat it), feeling the breeze and watching people walk by. These are just a few of my favorites. When I say a few, I mean a few.

I love her expression in these last two. Can she get any cuter?

The Little Green Giant

Cory does not like a wide variety of vegetables. When we were first married he would put anything on his vegetable if it would hide the taste of the actual vegetable.

I love vegetables. I love them raw, cooked and plain. I hoped and prayed that my little girl would love vegetables as much as I do. When I was pregnant I would try to eat a wide variety thinking she would come out loving them.

The good news? She like all the vegetables she's tried so far. But, she LOVES broccoli. The girl cannot get enough. She probably could beat Cory in a broccoli eating contest.

She loves broccoli so much, she wants to share all of its green goodness with the world.

Toes

Look at those cute little toes. I love Chloe's toes, but when she's older, I won't. Chloe has Cory's toes and I do not like his toes. They're bubble toes, but Chloe's they're cute...for now.
