I cannot believe how fast the last two years have gone by. My sweet little baby is a toddler. People always say how fast time goes, and it's so true.

The BIG 2-8

I can't believe I'm 28. It's true people. I know I look like I'm a fresh, young 22 year old, but I'm not. Even though I'm getting older, I still love birthdays. It's a great excuse for Cory to spoil me and to spoil myself. I even made Chloe wish me a happy birthday throughout the day.

Cory was so sweet to me on my birthday (not that he isn't other days). We went to The Melting Pot for dinner. If you have never been, you must go. It was such a fun, intimate experience with delicious food. It took three hours for four courses. Mmm...my mouth is salivating just thinking about it.

I wonder what the next year holds for me. Probably lots of fame and fortune. :) I'll let you know how it goes!

Park Play

Now that Chloe is a bit older, I love getting out into the sun and playing. The sun is so much warmer in Colorado than Oregon. Chloe loves the playground and is proud when she can do things "byself" and then tells me "did it, yay!"

Going across bridges is something that still scares her.
She tells me she's stuck and wants me to hold her hand as she crosses.

Chloe is becoming more and more of a dare devil. I love that my baby is growing up,
but it scared she's going to knock those teeth out.

Playing in the Sun

I've been loving weekends lately. Cory is off work and we try to be intentional about how we spend the time together as a family. Plus, it means I have more conversations with someone besides a toddler or myself. :)

Colorado has been having some warm weather lately and this last weekend, we were able to get out and enjoy it. O'Brien Park is a nice park that Chloe loves and bonus, it's really close. They have a bunch of play structures for different age groups. It's nice for Chloe to have other kids her age and size playing, instead of getting knock around by older kids.

This was Chloe's reaction when I asked her if she wanted to go to the park. A little excited? I think so.

She's getting more strong and brave everyday. Wanting to climb up everything.

I can't to see what this coming weekend holds for us. Hopefully something new and fun.

Denver

It's been six weeks since we moved to the Denver area. Six weeks? Really? It feels like we've been here a short time, but feels like we left Eugene, OR so long ago.

I miss...
our family
our friends
our church
the coffee from Vero and Midtown
the Oregon Ducks
the Pacific
and much more.

I don't miss...
the grayness of the Willamette Valley
and...well, I can't think of much more than that.

There's a lot I love about Denver and Colorado in general. It's beautiful here. Almost always sunny and a great view of the Rockies.

We can't wait to have picnics there in the Spring and Summer.

It was really cold that day, I think the high was 8 degrees...no joke.

Chloe was telling me that she was cold and ready to go... message received loud and clear.

No Wednesday Service

Just a reminder that there is no MSG (Middle School Group) this Wednesday.

There is Walk-In Communion Service for all families at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center.
